Internet Telephony Conference & Expo has supported the growing VoIP industry since it infancy and has brought buyers and sellers together in one marketplace twice a year. Now the industry is established and we are seeing new installations of IP PBX systems actually taking market share from traditional PBX systems. The conference program in Miami reflects this evolution, incorporating sessions covering the basics of VoIP selection and deployment, as well as more advanced topics like SIP, VoIP Peering, and Triple Play.

Topics will include WiFi Telephony and WiMAX. There is no way to overestimate the effects of wireless VoIP. If you have a laptop, or most any consumer electronics device, you will be able to use it as a WiFi telephony device. In urban areas, a WiFi or WiMAX phone will be good enough for most people and it will cost a fraction of a fraction of what Verizon charges today. A WiFi telephony iPOD using VoIP is not too far away. They will likely call it the VoiPOD.
